Dutch Harbor, AK - UNALASKA island pictures
Pictures of UnAlaska island, Alaska, Dutch harbor, alaska mountains around bay, Dutch harbor old world war 2 bunkers (which took a 3 hour hike into the 2 feet snow mountains to get pictures of with beautiful ocean views), grafitti on bunkers (pretty cool if you ask me), USCG helm lookout seaman at working going into dutch harbor, artsy-like pictures of surroundings, and many more Unalaska island pictures of the bitter cold snowy alaska mountains.

Most of the shots I have been taking are on the boat so I have to use sports mode with others I use mountain mode.

Alaska Pictures - dark cloudy conditions/moving
I took these pictures of the Juneau, Alaska bay we have been entering to get to port with my Nikon D40x. Conditions were heavily cloudy and our boat is constantly moving at around 10 kts so I finally figured out my best option was the "sports" position using the flash. I had it on manual focus. I want to learn how to take a very good picture, sharp, while a person maybe running without it blurring. This is a main goal. If you use an image please email me and link my blog to your website. Thank you.
Taken on Christmas day during sunset. 12/25/07
